My favorite way to add texture is to used Distress Texture Opaque! I love the way colors just blends in perfectly.

For this tag, i’ve started by doing my background with distress oxide inks, I blended in with the stencil called Bubbles (one of the first I bought and still a favorite!) , I let the color dry then applied the texture paste with a palette knife. i went pretty generously over and I let AIR DRY. Yes. AIR DRY. It took a good 30 minutes, but the result is awesome. if you have the time and patience to let your paste (ANY PASTE) air dry, the result will be so much better. Don’t ask why, I don’t know. It simply cures the best way. 

Then I swiped over with my blending tool and Black Oxide Ink mixed with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink and set aside.

For the flowers Ive used this new die set from Chapter2 by Sizzix and Tim Holtz. It is so cute and awesome. i die cut the pieces , then used distress oxide again paired with distress crayons. Over the middle and on some petals, i’ve also added frosted crystal.
