Flower Girl Tag

Here we are to a brand new challange over Simon Says Stamp!

 

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”2778″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]I started with the background of my Tag, with a spatula I added randomly a bit of Gesso. I let it completely dry then, I added a layer of distress oxide with the help of a watercolor brush. I let it completely dry before adding more layers.
When I was satisfied with the background, I used Paper Artsy rubber stamp and distress oxide to add texture in the background.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”2777″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]I again let the background dry completely. It is important that your layers are well dry before adding more texture or even more colors — especially if you are working with distress oxide. As I was waiting I die cut a couple of wildflowers with the Sizzix die. I LOVE these flowers!

I used distress oxide to add a bit of color to these flowers. I used a watercolor brush and worked again on layers. When the flowers where ready I used a black and white acrylic pen to add some little details.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”2776″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]Finally I glued down everything to my Tag. I added first a small piece of cheesecloth, then the darker flowers, then ballerina and lastly the brighter flower. I wanted to give the illusion she was dancing in the flowers.

The sentiment is from one of my favorite new release from Tim Holtz Idea-ology CLIPPINGS Stickers Paperie and I think it fits perfectly.

I currently feel like this smiling little girl in her pretties dress. Among flowers. Among smiles. Because I dreamed beautiful dreams, and they became true.
