Here we are to a brand new challange over Simon Says Stamp!
I choose Blue/Stencil/Cardboard …. ugh can I be more predictable??? LOL!
[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”2174″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_column_text]You should know by now how much I love working with cardboard, I just love the texture, the feeling, the way it absorbs colors and gesso….so this project hit home!
I die cut the TAG with the Tim Holtz die and then I ripped off some edges to give it even more texture.
I covered the TAG with gesso, let it dry and then I added the first layer of blue color.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”2170″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_column_text]When the first layer of color was dry, I added some more color through a stencil and then I added even more texture with modelling paste. I let it dry and then it was simply and explosion of colors! I love working with distress paint, they have the perfect range of colors! Every shade blends with the other like no other paint!
When the layer of paint was dry – I decided to use a figure shape to contour this human figure, I was inspired by my friend Nika Rouss that lately she is rocking some awesome figure canvases![/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”2172″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_column_text]..and of course i had to use a Tim Holtz Stickers — and I seriously hope he will be releasing a new set of words because dayum i love them so much. So Tim, if you are reading this… MORE STICKERS TNX BAI!
And that was my tag! I can’t wait to see what you guys will be creating! This week it should be SO MUCH FUN because we will see so many different type of project!
