Love is in the air—or maybe it’s just the perfect blend of Distress Ink Spray and Distress Spritz! 💕

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I couldn’t resist creating a dreamy mixed media tag, filled with soft colors, delicate florals, and a touch of romance.

Whether you’re crafting for someone special or simply indulging in the art of love, this tag is all about embracing the beauty of layers, textures, and heartfelt creativity.

Let’s dive in!

I’ve made a quick reel to show you the process… check it out on my Instagram!

For those who do not have instagram, here’s what I did!

I wanted to create something that feels like a love letter on paper—soft, delicate, and full of dreamy textures. This mixed media tag is just that, a little piece of romance brought to life with Distress Ink Spray and Distress Spritz, layered with texture and tiny details that whisper sweet nothings to the eye.

It all starts with a stencil, my favorite way to add an underlying design that peeks through the layers like a secret waiting to be discovered. With the stencil in place, I let the Distress Ink Sprays dance across the surface, their pigments blooming into each other, creating that first kiss of color. But the real magic happens when the Distress Spritz follows, adding that signature shimmer, catching the light just right—like the way love tends to do.

Patience is part of the process, so once everything is dry, it’s time for texture. A sweep of texture paste over the surface instantly transforms the tag, adding raised details that beg to be touched. Again, we wait. And then comes my favorite part—depth. A contrasting shade brushed over the dried paste makes the design pop, shadows forming, as if the tag itself is whispering poetry.

But a love story is never complete without little moments in between. A bit of stamping here, a hint of ink there, just enough to create movement and interest without overwhelming the softness beneath. And finally, the finishing touches—florals, delicate embellishments, tiny details that bring everything together like the last lines of a well-loved poem.

This tag isn’t just a piece of mixed media; it’s a feeling—light, airy, romantic, and a little bit magical. Just like love itself.

And that’s all for today, If you have any questions, suggestions or if you want to let me know what  you think of this project, leave a message!

Stay happy , stay creative…Till next time!

Ciao Zoey
