I started the background by adding some pieces from an old book page then I took a piece of plain collage paper and added ink to it. I let the collage paper completely dry on my desk surface because it is really delicate. When something liquid touches it, if you move then you end up breaking it. (It is meant to work that way). When it was dry enough, I used the embossing heat over it to make sure it was well dry.

I used collage medium to adhere it to my tag always being careful to not move it too much (the glue also tend to break the collage paper). When I was happy , I used a silicone tool to smooth the collage paper.

I die cut the Trim A Tree from a water color piace of cardstock (Distress Watercolor Paper) and used Distress Ink + Distress Oxide spray to add some color.

With walnut stain distress ink I inked up the edges of the tree to give it more dimension. Then I glued the tree together and used Distress Grit Paste Snowfall to add a snowy effect.

I let it dry again then added some thouches here and there with Distress Mica Stain.
