I love using stencils to create texture in the backgrounds! For this tag I’ve used a combination of two stencils. One I’ve applied distress ink through it, the other I applied Craclking paste over.

I’ve started my background with a mix of collage paper and some blending with Distress Ink.

Then I’ve used the first stencil with Distress Ink in Seedless Preserve and added some more blending here and there to add interst to the backgroid. . I added a layer of Glaze to seal the background when I was happy with it. Then I applied crackling paste through the second stencil and I let it dry completely.

I went over the stencils with some more distress ink and then a mix of sprays to enchance the crackles.

The decoration for this tag was pretty easy, a primitive heart die from Sizzix , a paper doll and couple of snippets from the IdeaOlogy collection.
