Here we are to a brand new challange over Simon Says Stamp!
[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”2885″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]I started with covering my entire tag with old book pages, I did that because I wanted then to use Tissue Wrap Paper by Tim Holtz. But this thing is thin and you can see through it and my tag is yellowish…so I wanted to get rid of the yellow!
When the glue was dry, I then added the tissue wrap paper and let it dry again.
I toned down the Tissue wrap paper with a bit of gesso and then I started adding color with stencils. I used a blending tool to apply Distress Paint through the stencils. I dry it with the heat tool and then I added a good amount of Heavy body gel and set aside to dry. Once it was dry I added color with distress paint.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”2888″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]I honestly do not pay too much attention when I work on backgrounds, I mean, I usually go with the flow, no plans, no ideas, nothing. I just take things and put them there. Does it work? Sometimes! Other times I make a mess but nothing that a good amount of gesso can’t fix! LOL
When I was ok with the stenciling, I added a bit more of color, this time I used Distress Paint with a bit of water so that the color was not going to cover up all the stenciling.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”2889″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]When it was all dry I added details. I started with my usual stitching all around the tag and around the clock stencils so that I could give a place “to sit” for the paper doll I choose to use for this tag.
I then glued the paper doll and the sentiment.
I love the smirk this little fella has on his face and i think it perfectly matches with the quote I wanted to use![/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_gallery interval=”0″ images=”2882,2883,2884,2885,2886,2887,2888,2889,2890″ img_size=”large”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]
