Here we are to a brand new challange over Simon Says Stamp!
[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”1952″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]I cut this ATC with a Sizzix Die and I used a Ranger Manila Cardstock as base. I grabbed a couple of mini distress ink and I started adding colors to the background. I love using mini distress ink with ATC because they are small and helps you a lot when it comes to small projects like ATCs. After I did one layer I fastened the dry time with the Ranger Heating Tool, then I grabbed my Ranger Ink Essential Triangular Collage Glue and applied a bit of glue — then with my finger I slightly smudged the glue. I let it dry completely.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”1951″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]When the glue was dry (this in essential…otherwise you will make a mess!) I grabbed another mini distress ink and with the blending tool I applied more color over the backgroud. The glue act as resist and makes amazing backgrounds! I let it dry then with a baby wipe I gently removed some color from the background.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”1953″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ onclick=”zoom”][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]Then I simply decorated my ATC with a bunch of Tim Holtz Ephemera , I wanted to go with the “journey” theme, so I tried to use everything based on this theme. I also added a bit of texture with Ranger Texture Paste that I used through a stencil. Of course I had to add stitches otherwise…I couldn’t call it done! LOL.

This is such a great piece! I really love your bright color combo and the clever use of the glue stick. The wire hanger at the top gives it such a great bit of dimension.

Beautiful ATC, Zoey! The colors are fabulous and the color of the ribbon is gorgeous. I love how you add some sewing elements to each project. I got my machine fixed but still can’t get my sewing to look as amazing as yours. I’ll keep practicing though. Thanks for the inspiration! Cathie <3

Fabulous ATC Zoey, the gentleman is very handsome don’t ya think 😉 the background and all of the details are perfect! I have never tried to use glue as a resist so I will be trying this technique out! 🙂
