I covered the pringles cap with tissue wrap paper and gel medium. I let it dry then I glued down some pieces of old book paper. To add some more texture I used drywall tape. I love the texture that adds!
When everything was dry, I covered it all with white gesso — and set aside to dry again.
I took a piece of mixed media paper by ranger and I used Distress crayons to add color. I scribbled random colors from the bright collection. I added crackle paste and let the crackle appear. When it was completely dry, I added again some more color to highlight the cracks.
I stamped with Tim Holtz Cling stamp and archival ink, but since i didnt want the stamp to “be in your face” i decided to go with a second generation stamp. I like the subtle addition of texture! I cut three houses from this paper.
I used again distress crayon to color the background and then I glued down the three houses. I used again gel medium to stick them down, I also added a piece of white thread just to create a base where the house could sit.
Tim Holtz stickers came to the rescue, and as always there is always the perfect one for every project!
I was able to finally buy an apartment, so the theme Home was close to my heart. It is a big step. I am proud of where I am.
I hope you are also proud of where you are, and if not yet, I hope you will find the strenght to reach your goals and aspirations. It takes time, even though noone likes to hear that , right? But keep your heads up, and when you feel lost – like I was – just look at the open sky, just look at the moon.
